Ten {Massachusetts Birthday Photographer}

Ten is terrific.

Ten is....

wanting to stay home alone, but still wanting a favorite stuffed animal in the suitcase.

water bottle flipping, fidget spinners, and squishy foam food.

a change purse to spend at school store.

animal shaped erasers lined up on the desk.

figuring out what your personal style is by trying every trend... all in the same outfit.

wanting to be an artist one day, then a scientist the next.

hoping that the Hogwarts letter comes in the next year.

caught between wanting to be a little kid, but wishing to be a teen.

understanding and using sarcasm.

still trying new things, but figuring out which ones are a good fit.

either eating everything or existing on a few handfuls of goldfish a day.

full of hopes, dreams, and promises of an exciting future.

I was thrilled to be able to photograph K's 10th birthday this weekend.  She and her mom come up with the most creative ideas.  This year, the theme was Crayola, which was perfect timing after her visit to the Crayola factory and the Thomas Edison National Historical Site. This budding artist had paper on the tables (which the grown-ups loved) and some colorful games. Remember Rubix Race?  Her joy as she opened her presents was infectious.

Happy Birthday, K-K.  I hope that ten is the best yet!
