Indiana, Illinois, Missouri: Heartland

When you grow up in New England,  worn is rolling hills and twisted roads, the idea of land that goes on forever is unfathomable. The drive through the Midwest is gorgeous. Farms go on as far as the eye can see. The horizon is much like what we see when we go to the ocean. You can't even capture it on camera.

It's an uneventful drive, but so beautiful and serene.

We stopped for the night to visit my cousin and her family.  It was great seeing then. Thanks for the hospitality!
